JOURNEY INTO SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
In early 2022, I decided to step away from public education and enter the world of Software Engineering. After several months of studying the fundamentals of computer programming, I enrolled in Digital Crafts' Full-Stack Web Development Bootcamp and spent 4 months learning to code as if it were my full time job.
The course utilized a PERN code stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js) to teach us how to build fun and creative web applications. I have showcased these applications below to demonstrate both the pace of learning and my "first crack" at turning an idea into reality. Along with each project, you will find a link to an article I wrote while making the application. I approached these with more of a "blog" mentality; I wanted to be able to look back and remember not only the programming logic, but also the emotions of pivoting into the technology space.
